In honor of 17 January 2023 as Ditch New Year's Resolutions Day.
Did you make too many resolutions for this new year? If so, then today's a great excuse to Ditch New Year's Resolutions!
In case it's helpful, below are the topics covered in this post:
How to Celebrate
It is not uncommon for us to make New Year's resolutions in anticipation of making positive changes for ourselves. Unfortunately, too many of us break the resolutions we set for ourselves.
If you are looking to re-evaluate the resolutions you set a couple weeks ago, today is a great day to ditch the ones you do not believe you can achieve or fulfill.
The truth is that we do not know what challenges or life changes we would be faced with this year. There is always a possibility for the need to change our plans and goals.
Unless you set yourself a resolution to be completed early in the year with something like a bullet list of tasks to work towards, chances are you will lose motivation to pursue a resolution after a few months.
It is okay to ditch your resolutions either today or another day this year. Many people do it. You are not the only one.
I did not complete any of the resolutions I set for myself in 2022. While there are goals I still hope to complete one day, my focus shifted in 2022. It was a productive year, nevertheless.
What's Next?
Take a moment to re-evalute your New Year's resolutions and see if there are any you want to ditch. After all, January 17th is Ditch New Year's Resolutions Day.
For the resolutions you want to keep, consider making a list of small tasks to help you get started and keep going.
