Did you know today is Repeat Day? Did you know today is Repeat Day? I've never celebrated this random day before, but today I plan to make the most of it by repeatedly annoying my loved ones! I will annoy my loved ones repeatedly in celebration of this day.
About This Day
Repeat Day is an unofficial holiday recognized by many calendar and blogging websites. However, I can't find any information online about who created this random celebration or why.
The goal of the day is to be repetitive. It's an opportunity to do or say things over and over again.
How to Celebrate
Today is the day to double down. Why not take part in something you like to do more than once today?
What's your favorite movie? Make a lot of popcorn and watch it twice. Do you have a favorite hobby? Devote some time to doing it twice or doing two different projects you enjoy doing.
Got cake? Go ahead and help yourself to two slices instead of just one. Heading out to get ice cream? Today's the day to get double the number of scoops or twice as many flavors than what you normally eat.
Make the most of the day by doing something you like repeatedly. Or...
You can do like I've been doing and annoy the heck out of your loved ones and friends. It's a good day for me to get on their nerves, but not so much that they'll hate my guts after the day is over.
For example, I left a voicemail message on my Mom's phone repeatedly saying, "Mom! Momma! Mommy! Are you home? Are you home now? How about now?"
In a group chat with my friends, I've repeated questions and statements. I've also sent them the same image twice. They don't yet know that I'll send the same image again later today.
If you're worried about upsetting your loved ones and friends, you can give them a heads up that today's Repeat Day before repeatedly getting on their nerves.
Then again, you might as well just do the things you enjoy doing on repeat today.
What's Next?
Oh, I'm going to enjoy this day being repetitively annoying to my loved ones! I'm also going to play video games for twice as long than I normally play in a day.
