Easy Ways to Spoil Your Dog
There are a variety of ways you can spoil your dog to make the day extra special for them. If you are not entirely sure how or where to start, check-out the four ideas below.
1. Play Time
Play time is a form of fun exercise for you and your dog that serves as a great bonding experience. Make the day extra special with extended play time.
Here are a few ideas for making playtime with your dog extra special:
Play your dog's favorite game,
Play with your dog's favorite toy(s), and/or
Introduce a new way of playing.
As long as your dog is happy, then extended play is a great way to spoil your dog.
2. New Experience
There are a number of ways you can expose your dog to something new and exciting. Here are a few ideas for sharing a new experience with your dog:
Introduce a new way of playing,
Visit someplace new, and/or
Try a new treat.
Depending on where you are located, you may be able to take your dog someplace extra special like a museum or bus tour that permits well-mannered dogs. If your dog behaves well in public, this may be an option worth considering.
3. Special Treat
Make your dog's meal or snack time more pleasant. NOTE: Be sure to research what foods are safe for dogs before treating them. What may be harmless for you may be harmful for your dog.
Here are a few ideas for giving your dog a special treat:
Make a dog treat using dog-friendly ingredients at home,
Get a treat like a pup cup (whipped cream) from a local restaurant, and/or
Buy a new treat for your dog to try.
While I am referencing food as a treat, some dogs may consider other things like a car ride a "special treat." Consider your dog's likes and interests to treat them accordingly.
4. Shopping Trip
Believe it or not, some dogs are less treat motivated than others. In this case, they may enjoy being treated with something from a store other than food.
Here are a few ideas for a shopping trip:
Buy a new treat for your dog to try,
Buy a new toy for new play time experience, and/or
Buy new apparel.
Consider taking your dog with you if you head out to get a special treat. Your dog may simply enjoy the ride there. It beats being stuck in the house when you are away.

My senior dog would love a deep tissue massage to ease his arthritis. My small dog would love extra cuddle time on the couch for one-on-one attention.
