What If Cats and Dogs Made Resolutions?

Pondering the possible answers to this question.

The other day, my friend asked, "If your animals had a New Year's resolution, what would it be?" I thought I would share our pets’ possible resolutions with you.

In case it's helpful, below are the topics covered in this post:

  • Things My Friends and I Considered

  • Rascal (Dog)

  • Ringo (Cat)

  • Milo (Dog)

  • Rocket (Cat)

  • Lazlo (Dog)

  • What's Next?

Things My Friends and I Considered

While thinking about our pets' resolutions, we considered some of the following:

  • Traits

  • Likes

  • Dislikes

I took a few moments to imagine what my dog, Rascal, would set as his resolutions.

My friend, Belle, considered a few things she believes her cat, Ringo, and dog, Milo, would set as their resolutions.

My friend, Pirate Redd, also considered a few things she believes her cat, Rocket, and dog, Lazlo, would set as their resolutions.

Of course, we were simply having fun deciding what our pets would set as their resolutions. It was a fun conversation for a chill day.

Rascal (Dog)

  • Be braver.

  • Go to more places.

  • Avoid children better.

NOTE: This doggo is braver than he thinks, especially when he is around the things that scare him the most: children.

Ringo (Cat)

  • Limit midnight snacks.

NOTE: This catto is a good boy and deserves snacks at all hours of the day. After all, he keeps his doggo brother company every day.

Milo (Dog)

  • Be more social.

  • Accept love [and attention] from others.

NOTE: This doggo is full of love and deserves love from everyone he meets. He especially loves being with his mom and joining her on her road trip adventures to visit family.

Rocket (Cat)

  • Sneak out of the door more often.

  • Show the dog (Lazlo) who is really in charge.

  • More cuddles with dad.

NOTE: This catto does an excellent job running the house. He would do a great job running the neighborhood if he could get out of the door more often.

Lazlo (Dog)

  • Less barking, but YOLO.

  • Play fetch more.

NOTE: This doggo is a good boy and deserves a ball launcher already. It is not his fault he says what is on his mind regularly.

What's Next?

If you believe you know your pet well, why not take time to figure out what your pet's New Year's resolution would be? It would be a fun thing to daydream about and distract you from the real world for a few minutes.
